Abdelghani Laraoui, is working to find materials that would improve the performance of quantum computing. To do this, they need to create an environment that is super cold – talking close to zero Kelvin. Laraoui said the NSF money, in part, is helping to fund the purchase of a state-of-the-art MRI that creates such cold environments.
