Nebraska’s Christos Argyropoulos has received a three-year, $750,000 early career grant from the Office of Naval Research’s Young Investigator Program. He will use the award to advance research into using ultrafast, short-pulse lasers to modify metal surfaces. The work has potential use in national defense applications. January 9, 2019.
