Students use a punch to collect samples from several corn plants in each plot at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Agronomy and Horticulture research fields at 84th and Havelock. The leaf punches will be tested for high throughput RNA and will be tested across it's 30,000 genes and almost 300 metabolites.
