Graduate student Elizabeth Hoffman hand is covered in sensors, which uses air pulses to create a stimulus to her brain, which is recorded by the Doppler system. Nebraska researchers Steven Barlow and Greg Bashford have developed a system to treat stroke victims using a functional transcranial Doppler ultrasound and somatosensory stimulation.
