180823 Stroke 001

Nebraska researchers Steven Barlow, near left, and Greg Bashford, center, have developed a system to treat stroke victims using a functional transcranial Doppler ultrasound and somatosensory stimulation. The stimulation has been shown in animal models to provide neuroprotection. The technology could prevent brain death. Phd students Jacob Greenwood, far left, and Ben Hage, center right, are helping develop the system. August 23, 2018. Photo by Craig Chandler / University Communication.
